Angel Tree 2009-Amwell Animal Rescue

Each year around the Holidays, Best Friends helps out a local animal shelter by putting up an Angel Tree.  This year we chose the Amwell Rescue in Ringos NJ.  There are many ways to help.  You can either pick a pet off of the tree and buy toys, treats or food for that pet, or you can make a monitary donation to Best Friends, and we will buy a group gift of food or toys for the pets at the Rescue.  The Angel tree will run through New Years, and the donations will be delivered in the begining of January.

Thanksgiving dinner with our Best Friends!!

 

We cooked up a Holiday feast for pets that were boarding with us this Thanksgiving. Pets dined on roast turkey and vegetables with a side of sweet potato biscuits! We will also be cooking up a Christmas dinner. Along with our boarding guests getting yummy holiday meals, we will also be donating food to a local animal shelter so homeless pets can have an extra tread this holiday season!

Photos with Santa!!

We had photos with Santa on Sat. 11/21 to raise money for our Angel Tree progam.  The Angel Tree helps benifit local animal shelters this holiday season.  We will be holding another photo day on Sat. 12/12 from 11a-2p at our West Berlin location.  No need for an appointment. Cost is a $10 donation to the Angel Tree. Thanks to all who attended!

New Training Classes Forming!

Best Friends Pet Care in West Berlin has 2 new training classes forming! All classes are one hour per week for 6 weeks.

-Basic I-Thurs. Oct. 29th thru Thurs Dec.10th (no class 11/26) 7:30p-8:30p--$135+tax.

-Basic I-Tues. Nov. 10th thru Tues. Dec.15th. 7:30p-8:30p--$135+tax

Commands are at the heel position (left) and include sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking, no jumping and many more!! This is a NO treat, positive reinforcement class.

Dogs Who Serve Program

Over the last year, our Cinnaminson and Berlin centers have been collection donations to provide bullet proof vests for local police dogs. Our first donation was to Rocket, a German shepherd handled by Cpl. Brian Walker of the Lumberton Police Dept. We are continuing to collect donations at both of our centers to help outfit more working K9s with these life saving vests.
